I love this scenario: I'm driving along Jefferson Road on my way to class. The speed limit is 45 and I'm going about 48. There's a car about 6 driving lengths in front of me, and no one behind me that I can see. There's a van sitting at a side road waiting to pull out. This van can clearly see the road behind me, and that there is no one coming after me. Instead of waiting, he pulls out about 2 driving lengths in front of me and never speeds up to more than 35 mph.
I love this scenario: I'm driving up Clover St. toward my apartment. The road merges from two lanes to one after you go over the Canal Bridge. The sign clearly says, "Right lane ends." I'm in the left lane, because I am intelligent. I am about 1.5 car lengths behind the car in front of me when I see a blur go past my passenger window. Some imbecile in a purple Breeze roars past me and cuts in between me and the other car just as the right lane ends. I respond by hitting my horn and just holding it down for a good 5 or 6 seconds. I forgot to mention that it was pouring. The only thing I love more than people driving like idiots is people driving like idiots in bad weather.
I love this scenario: I get up in the morning and get ready for class. After finally dragging myself away from my computer (I can be fascinated by The Simpsons any time of day) I grab my keys and go for the door, but it won't open. I unlock it, but it's jammed. Then I see a sign. It says, "Effective immediately, all persons residing in the United States and Canada must complete a CSE* before being allowed to leave their residence. You will find your exam online at www.cse.com. Thank you." Confused, I go to www.cse.com. CSE stands for Common Sense Exam. All I have to answer is 5 simple questions, and I get them all right. When I click "submit" it takes me to a page that shows me the percentage of people who answered the questions correctly. I am astounded by the percent of people who failed the test. People who fail the exam are simply not allowed to leave their apartment or house. And they don't get welfare or any crap like that. If they miss work, they're SOL and if they lose their job, oh freaking well. Great system. I'm not being sarcastic. If people can't answer 5 common sense questions, they shouldn't be allowed to mingle with intelligent people (or drive, or operate machinery, or practice law/medicine...).
You have to guess: which of these scenarios is not real. (Hint: It's the only one that SHOULD be real.)
