I finally got my $*&(#*$&)#*$&(*&@*&@ money.
Hopefully this weekend will be a little bit relaxing. I have to work 5 hours tomorrow and 5 on Sunday, but I don't think it will be TOOOOOO bad...

Today's favorite thing: When someone in a position of authority is saying something belittling or admonishing, they make sure to say it loudly enough so that everyone can witness your embarrassment.
I am so pissed.
My parents paid $3024 for my fall quarter tuition out of pocket because my financial aid forms hadn't gone through yet. When I got the forms straightened out at the Financial Aid office, they told me that all of the money would pay into my student account on Wednesday 9/10. When I went to the Bursar's Office on Wednesday, they told me that no disbursements could be made until Monday 9/15, which is the last day of add/drop. When I called the Bursar's Office on Friday to see if my add/drop form had gone though confirming my extra two credits (at a charge of $455 EACH), I was told that it had, but because I had made a change to my bill, I couldn't receive a refund of my credit balance until Tuesday 9/16.
Today, Tuesday 9/16, nearly a week after I was led to believe I could have my money, I still don't have my money. Of my 4 sources of financial aid, only one has disbursed and the other three will not disburse until Friday 9/19. So I thought I could get the $1806 that had actually been disbursed. NOPE. Apparently I can't get that until Friday either.
F*** this school and its damn money hogging. I have so much crap on my credit card because of this, and I owe Joe almost $250.
F*** Roosters In Tights.
Just this past weekend I was reading a front page article about the rape of the English language and how kids today don't even think it's important to know how to spell and write well. Imagine you're in charge of hiring for a company and you get a resume that is basically written like this:
heya.
nth much happened todae.
lol.
juze sch and more sch.
ahaha.

All of that CRAP is from a blog on the "recent updates" on blogger's main page. All I gathered about the "author" (gag) is that she's 15, likes fencing, and hates sounding intelligent.
I saw a poster that said:
F.A.C.E.S.
It was in the photo building, so I thought maybe it was a flyer for a Thesis Show or something. Instead, the small print notified me that F.A.C.E.S. stands for "Feminist Action on Campus for Every Student."
Damn these feminists. Sure, they did a lot of great things in the past, but I really don't see how females are discriminated against in this day and age. There are actually more women enrolled in the CIAS* right now than there are men. Women can get the same jobs, and women are actually preferred for some jobs. Women who want to start their own business get grants because they're women.
On the same note, I also saw a flyer telling me why I should joing the Socialist party. Good times.
So far school is going meh-to-well. I'm having a good time in most of my classes, even though this quarter is going to be more work than any quarter I've had before. I'm registered for 20 credits but I can't complain because a girl I know has 20 credits plus she's a TA for Photo II. She is nutts. I hope she is getting paid to TA.
Owen told me yesterday that he was talking to the man who runs the rare book collection on campus about my recent infatuation with book design and construction and they were discussing the possibility of the formation of an independent study Masters program in book design just for me. (Or I could be the guinea pig at the very least.) I have looked into other universities for their masters program in book design or book studies and I'm either not impressed with the program or have no intention of moving to Hellabama (sorry Jett!). I can't really picture Joe and me making a life for ourselves in Tuscalooosa. So I don't know if this masters program will actually form, but I wouldn't mind looking into it. I'm pretty used to Rochester by now and if I stay here I would already know a bunch of the faculty and everything. And as Owen so deftly put it, "We figured, as long as you're looking into paying some school to teach you about books, why not make it this school?" There's that sweet RIT mentality.

For those of you who know Nate and Brooke, here are some of the pictures I took at their wedding.
For absolutely no reason, the 250MB zip disk I bought and used this summer suddenly doesn't work. I went into the lab and lovingly scanned 15 of the pictures from Nate and Brooke's wedding (luckily I didn't take time to scan the negatives, I only scanned the prints) but I had to leave them on the computer until I can get a CD because my zip disk infuriatingly won't work.
The help I got from the labbie? "Dude, this disk is toast. Get another one."
Because I, like everyone else here, am made of money.
